Zinder, 23 0ct (ANP)-The Governor of the Zinder region, Colonel Massalatchi Mahaman Sani presided this Friday, October 23rd in the Governor’s compound, the official ceremony of presentation of the laureates of young female entrepreneurs who won awards of innovation and female leadership on the occasion of the international day of young female entrepreneurs held in Niamey.
The Governor of the Zinder region welcomed the efforts made by the winners of the Alheri and Saboua groups, where he thanked them for this invitation to present the prizes of those winners who validly represented the Zinder region.
” We recommend that the lareates, once back in their communes, continue to bring the girls together to raise awareness of the realities of our country as part of the re-foundation, he declared.
Governor Massalatchi Mahaman Sani said that the young girls leaders deserve to be encouraged to raise awareness among the other young people of the Commune about the promotion of Crafts in their village.
The Alheri and Saboua groups have validly represented the Zinder region for having had to make several products that were sold during his trip to Niamey.
He “advised the winners to continue in the same vein, in order to try to raise awareness of her promotion among other girls so that they could also undertake this kind of entrepreneurship, so that they could help not only her society but also their families,” he explained.
For her part, Amina Malam Maina, promoter of Zinder’s Waraka Agri-Food Company, accompanying rural girls, declared that they were rural girls from Gafati, Yaouri and Kolaram communes were selected to present the region.
This is a mini fair that was organized by UNICEF in collaboration with the NGO Transforme Niger, they invited us.”
This NGO Transforme Niger took these girls for a five-day training.
They were trained in pearling, food processing and women’s leadership.
Now at the time of the fair, the Alheri group won the innovation prize and the Saboua group won the women’s leaderchip award.
